Key Responsibilities

  • Execute compliance testing reviews in accordance with approved testing plans, testing methodologies, and internal governance standards.
  • Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls to assess compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and control frameworks.
  • Identify control weaknesses, compliance gaps, and potential risks through detailed testing and analysis.
  • Develop practical and risk-based recommendations that balance regulatory requirements, business needs, and operational feasibility.
  • Prepare clear and concise testing reports, findings, and recommendations for management review.
  • Engage stakeholders to discuss findings, agree on remediation plans, and support implementation of corrective actions.
  • Validate management action plans to ensure identified risks and control deficiencies have been adequately addressed prior to closure.
  • Monitor and track remediation progress, ensuring timely completion of agreed actions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of testing workpapers, findings, evidence, and closure assessments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance compliance testing methodologies, reporting, and governance processes.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Business teams to strengthen the overall control environment.
  • Leverage data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools where applicable to improve testing efficiency and risk identification.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Finance, Banking, Accountancy or any related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Compliance Testing, Compliance Assurance, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Operational Risk, or Control Testing within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Excellent understanding of banking operations, processes, risks, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience performing control testing, compliance reviews, risk assessments, or audit engagements.
  • Good analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify root causes and assess control effectiveness.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in reviewing documentation and testing results.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Solid communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience preparing testing reports, audit findings, and management recommendations.
  • Knowledge of operational risk management frameworks, internal controls, and governance practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data analytics tools, automation solutions, or AI-assisted assurance activities will be good to have.
